More than 870 new limericks

THIS provides an irresistible demonstration that limericks can be clean AND funny. It contains many examples of innovations to the limerick genre. Among these is to be found a verse of 23 words in alphabetical order, A-W. There are verses containing up to three anagrams, verses whose lines rhyme and scan backwards as well as forwards, and a limerick of only five words.

Rotten Haystacks is full of clever fun and may be confidently given to a daughter.
